Job Summary
The Managing Director – Head of Transfer Agency, Fund Order Services and Data Operations (Poland) is a senior leadership role responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery, strategic direction, and operational excellence of Transfer Agency (TA), Fund Order Services (FOS), and Data Operations within Poland. The role is accountable for client and investor service outcomes, risk and regulatory compliance, people leadership, and the ongoing transformation and scaling of operations in line with global strategy.
As a member of the senior management team, the role partners closely with global and regional leaders, Client Service, Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to deliver high‑quality, resilient, and efficient services across multiple asset classes and client segments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and develop large, multi‑disciplinary teams across Transfer Agency, Fund Order Services, and Data Operations, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on client outcomes, accountability, and risk excellence.
Define and execute the Poland location strategy in alignment with global operating models and corporate objectives, including location strategy and follow‑the‑sun delivery where applicable.
Act as a senior site leader, representing Poland in global forums, governance committees, and strategic initiatives.
Client & Investor Service
Own and enhance the client and investor service experience across TA, Fund Order Services, and Data Operations.
Maintain strong senior‑level client relationships, managing complex escalations and ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all client, investor, and data deliverables.
Drive the AI and productivity agenda for TA, FOS and Data Operations units in Poland.
Lead and sponsor business transformation, including process simplification, operating model changes, and technology initiatives.
Risk, Control & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and external obligations applicable to Transfer Agency, Fund Order Services, and Data Operations.
Promote and embed a strong culture of risk awareness, control, and escalation.
Provide effective oversight of audit, regulatory, and risk management activities, ensuring timely issue resolution.
Ensure business continuity planning and operational resilience are in place, tested, and effective.
People & Resource Management
Accountable for workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement across all functions.
Coach and develop senior leaders and managers, building strong leadership pipelines.
Manage direct and indirect budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource utilization.
Champion inclusion, diversity, and cultural initiatives as part of day‑to‑day leadership.
Stakeholder & Governance Engagement
Partner with Global Functional Leadership, Technology, Product, Risk, Finance, and other key stakeholders to align delivery with business strategy.
Serve on internal committees and governance forums, contributing to enterprise‑wide initiatives and best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge & Experience
15+ years of experience in managing Transfer Agency operations, complemented by strong exposure to Fund Order Services and/or Data Operations.
Proven senior leadership experience within financial services, fund administration, and investment operations, 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong understanding of Transfer Agency and Fund Order Services operating models, regulatory frameworks and risk management principles applicable to funds and investor services.
Experience leading large teams in a global, matrixed environment.
Skills & Capabilities
Exceptional leadership, people management, and change management skills.
Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including interaction with senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, productivity, and transformation at scale.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute across multiple priorities simultaneously.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional qualifications are advantageous.

Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office
Minimum Salary:
zł426 000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
