What You Will Do:
In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities:
Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks and Datastage, leveraging Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and querying.
Support the implementation of medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) for audit analytics use cases, and participate in data modeling, transformation, and enrichment tasks.
Assist in integrating REST APIs for data ingestion and external system connectivity, with experience in automation and workflow orchestration using tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
Work with Databricks Apps and Serverless compute environments on AWS and Azure to optimize performance and cost, including storage and data services.
Collaborate with audit and data teams to ensure data quality, governance, and compliance, with awareness of data privacy, access controls, and cataloging tools.
Create dashboards and visualizations using Databricks SQL, Power BI, or Tableau, applying SQL optimization techniques such as query performance tuning and indexing.
Document workflows, architecture components, and technical decisions to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
Support CI/CD processes for data pipeline deployment using tools like GitHub, with a basic understanding of version control and automated deployment practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and failures using logging and observability tools, and apply performance tuning techniques.
Explore and prototype new features or enhancements to improve audit analytics capabilities, while working in an Agile methodology and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Candidates should be:
Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or related technical disciplines who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation. Strong interest in data analytics, cloud computing, and modern data platforms.

Salary Range:
$41,600 - $65,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
