Who we are looking for:
State Street is looking to hire a Senior Technology Delivery Leader to build teams and handle delivery management for Data Services development teams. The candidate must have 18+ years of experience in Financial Services, IT industry primarily serving as Delivery lead/Principal Solution Architect in the software development and data management delivery area. This is intended to be a senior position (VP); however, the exact designation / fitment will be a result of the evaluation and fitment process that the candidate will undergo as part of this application process.
As one of the GTS Technology Data Services Delivery Leads, you will be responsible for:

Setup and maintain software delivery teams, which will service the assigned business teams within State Street - Participate in analysis, solutions design and deliver of Cloud-based services as part for Data Services Core Platform
- Work with infrastructure and other related teams to ensure deployment and operationalization of cloud applications
- Act as the delivery owner for the assigned team
- Primarily give oversight to, and if needed, personally perform requirement gathering, technical design, testing, UAT support, etc.
- Responsible for capacity and capability building for the assigned teams
- Monitor delivery progress and provide periodic updates to Senior Management
- Manage work delivery and related strong team management activities - the size of the team will vary depending on business requirements
- Actively work on team management, training & competency development, monitoring team performance on ongoing basis
- Actively manage employee engagement, attrition management and talent development and management in the team
- Actively contribute to initiatives / horizontal organization work stream contributions like knowledge management, risk management, vendor management etc. cutting across different teams
- Be conversant with and be able to successfully manage common cultural nuances specific to the India team.
- Make effective recommendations to build an organizational model that can effectively serve high quality delivery and ensure the communication between the functions is seamless
- Be a strong advocate of HR policies and procedures ensuring all employees adhere to the core values and the operating culture
- Be a catalyst in driving cultural integration ensuring the local team thinks global while acting local
- Promote diversity and inclusion, providing transparency in organizational work activities.
- Ensure talent planning, management and related supporting deliverables including but not limited to - succession planning, critical role identification, coaching and diversity hiring are done with the partnership of both global functional managers and HR.
- Promote the culture of risk excellence in people, process, and technology aspects. Ensure self and team anticipates, monitors, actively manages and reports all risk and related issues.
- Retain accountability for the overall performance of the assigned teams.
- Lead and participate in business meetings, presentations, and conferences as and when required.
- Establish and monitor an effective oversight framework to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated, and resolved.
- Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behavior in performing their roles.
- Given that this is intended to be a senior role, the hiring and management / administrative responsibility will not be limited to just this team alone, but the candidate will need to work on and help with this activity for other teams within the group as needed.
- This role will involve working closely with global teams and other cities in India, and hence work hours should be flexible.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:
- Understanding of one of the following areas: Middle Office, Investment Accounting, Capital Markets, NAV Processing, Back Office Reporting, Custody.
- Hands on experience from amongst the following: Oracle, Java, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Angular, Angular.Js, React.JS, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops,Strong Programming knowledge in writing SQL queries/Stored Procedures, advanced cursors, functions, packages for Oracle Server or any another Relational Databases(Oracle/SQL Server).
- Experience in event driven architectures, message hub, MQ, Kafka is required.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Micro service architecture, Docker, ETL tools, Data as a Service, ACID and data structures is desired.
- Experience in financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects is a plus.
- Experience leading agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required
- Has vast experience in hands on software coding/development, testing and prod support and experience in managing direct day-to-day activities of team members who will be working towards servicing the business needs
- Should have Data Delivery/Project lead experience in BFSI domain
- Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skill
- Agile Product owner experience a plus
- Ability to manage large, diversified teams spread across multiple locations or regions and distributed workforce (Employee and IT vendors)
- Should have excellent communication skills, fluent in English written and oral
- Should have experience in delivering large scale, complex and transformational projects.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or an Engineering Degree.
- 18+ years of commercial software development, proficient in developing multi-tier solutions.
- 10+ years of demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams/projects.
- 10+ years of development experience in Java, Oracle and/or SQL Server.
6+ years of professional development building encompassing front-to-back architectures and API's. - Architect level experience in Data Warehousing and BI Reporting.
- Experience developing software for applications in financial domain.
