About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst for Risk & Compliance Operations, you will own the analytics that support the daily execution and scalability of Rippling’s risk and compliance operations. This role is deeply operational and focused on manual servicing workflows, policy enforcement, queue management, and control execution across Rippling’s financial products.

You will build and maintain the dashboards, metrics, and reporting that risk and compliance teams rely on to manage workload, meet SLAs, enforce policies consistently, and respond to emerging risk. Your work will directly influence staffing decisions, process design, tooling improvements, and how effectively Rippling operates in regulated environments at scale.

What you will do

  • Own operational dashboards and reporting for risk and compliance teams, including queue volumes, throughput, SLAs, aging, backlog health, escalation rates, and staffing efficiency.
  • Develop analytics to support manual risk and compliance servicing workflows, such as transaction reviews, account restrictions, customer escalations, recoveries, and exception handling.
  • Monitor and report on policy enforcement execution, ensuring controls are applied consistently and exceptions are tracked, analyzed, and remediated.
  • Partner with Risk Operations leaders to identify operational bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and process inefficiencies, and quantify the impact of proposed changes.
  • Support workforce planning and operational forecasting by analyzing demand drivers, review complexity, cycle times, and productivity trends.
  • Build metrics and reporting to support compliance operations, including evidence generation for audits, banking partner reviews, and ongoing control monitoring.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to define operational requirements for tooling, including queue design, alerting, review workflows, and data capture.
  • Produce regular readouts for leadership on operational performance, risk exposure, compliance health, and control effectiveness.

What you will need

  • 4+ years of experience in risk operations analytics, compliance operations analytics, fraud operations analytics, or financial operations analytics.
  • Hands-on experience building ops-facing dashboards to manage queues, SLAs, and servicing performance.
  • Strong understanding of manual review and servicing operations, including escalation paths, exception handling, and quality control.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze large operational datasets.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, or similar).
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments where processes are still evolving.
  • Ability to translate operational pain points into clear metrics and actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or business-related field; advanced degree a plus.
