The Companies Office is a business unit within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and we’re responsible for administering New Zealand’s business registers for corporate entities, securities over personal property, capital markets, and financial products. As the authoritative source of information on New Zealand companies, we’re focused on making New Zealand a fair and easy place to do business. We do this by: • Ensuring all entities and companies on our registers are legitimate • Helping businesses to know, understand, and comply with the law • Providing online systems to make it easy for businesses to manage and update their records • Providing public access to business information that is comprehensive and accurate.
