Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging large datasets to uncover actionable insights, drive business strategy, and solve complex problems. This role requires a strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, with a keen ability to translate data into compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Collect, clean, and analyze complex datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to generate actionable insights that inform business decisions.
- Model Development: Design, build, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges, such as forecasting, customer segmentation, and fraud detection.
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Create clear, compelling visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations. Present complex data in an understandable format to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product management, and business teams to understand their needs, define key metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify opportunities to use data to improve processes, products, and services. Troubleshoot and optimize existing models and data pipelines.
Preferred Qualification as and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.
Target Base Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years of Data Scientist experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
