The newest business group in AWS, Applied AI Solutions are built by AWS and AWS Partners to deliver applied AI solutions that leverage Amazon’s operational expertise and that businesses love and trust for their day-to-day success. Our ambition is to become a partner which companies can rely on to run their business every day, putting AI to work delivering better customer experience, operational excellence and speed.

As a Data Scientist, you will build scalable solutions and models to support our business functions. Leveraging a range of methods including machine learning and simulation, you will explain, quantify, predict and prescribe in support of informing critical business decisions. You will translate business goals into agile, insightful analytics. You will seek to create value for both stakeholders and customers and inform findings in a clear, actionable way to managers and senior leaders.

We have a rapidly growing customer base and an exciting charter in front of us that includes solving highly complex business problems by applying AI. The position represents a rare opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing business within AWS, and help shape the technology and product as we grow. You will be playing a crucial role in developing the next generation Solutions, and get the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, resilient systems while maintaining a constant customer focus.

Key job responsibilities
- Use statistical and AI/ML techniques to create the next generation of the tools that inform strategic decision-making at AWS's highest levels
- Design and implement scalable analytical frameworks to measure and analyze Applied AI Solution's financial performance across all business units
- Create predictive models and analytical solutions that provide deep insights into revenue patterns, cost structures, and growth opportunities
- Develop innovative approaches to complex financial problems using advanced statistical methods and machine learning
- Partner with business leaders to identify key business questions and translate them into analytical solutions
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision making across Applied AI Solutions
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in data science & analytics
